I have worn hats most of my life. Let me suggest that the wearing of hats, by gentlemen, follows certain rules. In most of America gentlemen remove their hats when they enter a church, a bar, a restaurant or a home. If a man does not remove his hat in those go green environments, that man is likely to be considered to be a punk or gangster. However, in certain western environments the wearing of hats is considered traditional in bars. A gentleman will understand the environment they are in and that the wearing of a hat, or removing it, will send the message that the wearer is gentleman, or not.
